Two extremely different skin types (with two different requirement and belonging to two very different age groups) and one cream – the results were nothing short of magical. This is how I would define my experience with the Egyptian Magic All Purpose Cream that I got from Beauty Source, India’s first one-stop destination for natural beauty and wellness that offers a range of carefully curated products from all over the world.
I had heard a lot about Egyptian Magic from my from a friend who found it very effective for keeping her skin supple. “I love it even more because it is non fragrant and devoid of synthetic ingredients,” she had raved. So when I got this jar of very balm like potion, I was tempted to experiment some with it.
My skin is a very sensitive mix. Winters, if at all, have a very dehydrating effect. So for four nights I diligently rubbed it in my palms before applying it to the affected areas. At the same time, my teen-aged daughter, whose skin had broken into mild rashes due to pollution and weather change, opted to apply some to her face.
The results to our surprise were quite amazing. I could feel the suppleness in my skin and her rashes actually disappeared! Over the next many days, we have used the cream in different ways and the results have not disappointed us. Egyptian Magic actually works wonders on rashes, skin irritations and redness, burn and wounds. No wonder it has a loyal word of mouth following and is part of many a celeb routines such as that of Kate Hudson and Lauren Conrad.
Made of six natural ingredients (namely, Honey, Beeswax, Olive Oil, Royal Jelly, Bee Pollen and Bee Propolis) that make it an intense moisturising balm, free of additives, preservatives, fragrances, chemicals or parabens, the cream has a jelly like translucency that takes on an oil-like consistency once it is rubbed between palms and fingers. However, instead of getting sticky, heavy or clinging to the skin, the formula blends smoothly into the skin.
As I researched some and experimented some more, I found that the cream has many uses to it. It heals mild cuts and abrasions, makes for an excellent face mask (even a hair mask!) and acts as a great makeup remover. I am told it is a great replacement to a shaving cream, but I am yet to try that. It’s a must have in your beauty kit.
